Mug – London 1713

This charming Queen Anne sterling silver mug is of half pint size, with slightly bellied body enclosed with a thread detailed lip and base. Carrying all four of the hallmarks close to the handle, in addition there are signs of the original pinprick engraving on the thumbpiece; a practice typical in this period where the initials of the owner where engraved. For the true connoisseur of antique silver mugs, this wonderful piece is of a type not often seen on the market.
