A pair of fine Queen Anne Britannia standard antique silver cast candlesticks. Each candlestick has cut-cornered square bases and octagonal knopped stems and sconces. Made by Jonah Clifton of London in 1710. The candlesticks are also marked with the additional mark of Benjamin Poole (probably acting as the retailer). Each candlestick is struck underneath with the original scratch weights, No 14-2 , No 2 14-3. Dimensions: height 16.8 cm, width (of base) 9.9 cm; weight 25 troy oz.
