A pair of very fine Queen Anne cast Britannia silver candlesticks, with plain banded sconces on knopped paneled octagonal stems. They stand on square bases which have canted corners and welled centres. The underside of the bases is engraved with the scratch weight “29=10 Ye pair”. A wonderful pair of early candlesticks by an important Huguenot silversmith. Dimensions: height 17.9 cm, width (of base) 11 cm; weight 28 troy oz
