The centre is engraved with an armorial, and the arms are those for “Norris” of Guist and Wood Norton, Norfolk. Dimensions: diameter 30.6 cm Weight 27.5 troy oz Signed/inscribed: 1781 The Reverend William Norris (1727 – 1798) acquired Wood Norton Hall in 1780, and incorporates many neoclassical features, which the salver also exhibits so well.
