This impressive antique George II sterling silver salver has a plain circular shape, in the classic Georgian English form. The surface of this salver is plain and unembellished. The raised-shaped border is embellished with applied scrolling decoration to the rim and accented with simplified lobed shell designs to each curved portion. This sterling silver salver is supported by three impressive hoof-style feet. The back of the salver is engraved with two sets of initials, M W and then L +B .
