Antique hip flask – engine turned – 1869

A rare antique silver hip flask, with engine turned decorationon on body and cup. With crisp hallmarks, and screw cap, this flask has a cartouche on the reverse, suitable for taking a personailsed engraving. Flasks pre 1900 are particularly unusual, and this is a fine example of Victorian craftsmanship. Hallmarked in 1869.
