A good early eighteenth-century pepper/spice caster, which stands on a circular foot with a plain baluster shape body surmounted by a girdle to the lower half. The top is finely pierced and it is in excellent condition. The caster was made in London in 1727 by Meschach Godwin. Dimensions, height 9.75 cm
