Description
Wine coasters, also known as decanter stands or bottle stands were intended for passing wine between diners and usually have a hardwood turned base covered with baize. Early examples from the 1750s are usually small and pierced with styles developing throughout the 18th century. Today they serve as a wonderful table piece and are a popular present for weddings and christenings. Many of the coasters we sell have a simple design with personalised engraving to add significance to a gift.
