Silver Honey Pot

This honey pot is modelled as a skep — the traditional domed, woven straw beehive — with the woven texture recreated in solid silver rather than a plain rounded form. Genuine antique silver skeps are scarce, since only the most skilled silversmiths of their day could achieve that woven effect; Paul Storr, the Regency Royal silversmith, is noted for producing fine versions historically. A limited edition.
