Portobello does away with the solid frame. Two handmade sterling silver bands hold the photograph at the top and bottom, and the sides are left open, so the picture sits against a bevelled glass edge and an emerald green moiré silk back.
This is the landscape version, for wider photographs, made in 6×4, 7×5 and 10×8. Both bands are hallmarked, and both can be engraved: a line above the picture and one beneath. A portrait version is also available.
