Most silver frames are a flat face of silver on a wooden back. The Hereford is built differently. The corners are soldered and the silver continues in deep returns down all four sides, so the frame reads as a solid box of silver from every angle, not just from the front.
It is a traditional construction and a nod to our silversmithing heritage. The band is 1.7cm wide, the frame stands portrait or landscape, and it is made in 6×4, 7×5 and 10×8. Hallmarked, with room to engrave the top and bottom, and presented in a black gift box.
