A stunning Silver Wine Cooler which exemplifies quality and craftsmanship. Completely hand crafted using traditional silversmithing techniques, it has a bead mounting which has been applied to the top and base and rings on the side. The Wine Cooler has a gold gilt interior lining which helps protect the silver from staining and adds decoration. The cooler carries a full English Hallmark and is approximately 1kg. The tradition of cooling wine in ornate silver bowls originates from the Italian Renaissance. At first it was a large roomy vessel, but as years went on and the use of ice extended it was fitted with a liner and became more compact and pail like.
