Silver Frog and Snail Open Salt

This frog and snail open salt is one of our most iconic pieces. Made in either sterling silver or silver plate, it has been a talking point at dinner parties for the last 20 years. This piece is fun, beautifully made and a highly useful table top gift. The sterling silver version is incredibly heavy, weighing an amazing 370g on average. The inside of the snail shell has a smooth finish and is lined in 22ct gold plate, to protect the salt from corroding the metal. Each frog and snail is supplied in a luxurious gift box. To prevent the silver from tarnishing we recommend a regular clean with an impregnated silver cloth. For maintenance purposes, salt should not be left inside the shell for long periods as it will corrode the silver over time, we recommend filling the piece up on the day of use.
